We can still fix the clock!” He said enthusiastically. “Yeah, I do,” the man said before catching on. “Cal, do you know if you have some superglue?” She asked. Something more than just a clock face to go on a clock,” Haoyu suggested.Įmma had an idea. “Maybe the clock face means something to him. “He looked like he took this a bit hard,” Cal mentioned softly. “What was that about?” Lucy asked in worry. “Balan!” Cass called out in concern, but he was gone. With that, he quickly left the room, vanishing down the hallway. The others noticed how heartbroken their friend looked. “Emma was removing the last book and had just walked away when the clock face fell.”īalan looked at the pieces, and a heartbroken look came to his face. “It fell off the bookcase we were moving,” Cal said. “I’m not sure if this can be fixed,” she said sadly. Lucy sighed as she moved around some glass. “Emma, are you alright?!” Cal’s voice could be heard.īalan quickly headed to the room where everyone was. They managed to move some items around until a sound like breaking glass echoed through the theater and gasps were heard. Some of them are fragile,” he quoted.Įveryone nodded, understanding to be careful. Just be careful with some of the items around here. "We should think about moving some furniture and doing more cleaning today,” Iben said.īalan beamed. The hearty breakfast was enjoyed while they discussed what they were going to do in the theater that day. “I think we can take those growling tummies as a yes,” Eis said with a smile. The kids giggled as their own stomachs responded with similar growls. “We brought scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, bacon, and hashbrowns, so I hope you’re all hungry.”īalan’s stomach loudly growled right then, making him blush in embarrassment. “In the meantime, how about some breakfast?” Came Cal’s voice as he and Eis entered the theater along with Fiona, Iben, and Lucy. “He said he’ll be a little late since he’s meeting someone he knows,” Emma said. “Better than I have in a long time,” he admitted before looking around but not seeing the blonde-haired boy. ![]() “How did you sleep?” The green-haired girl asked. Even reaching over and ruffling Haoyu’s hair, making the boy playfully duck away from his hand and laugh, while Cass came up to Balan and gave him a hug, which he gladly returned. “We don’t mind,” Emma said as she and the bespectacled girl hugged their maestro friend, who embraced them with a smile. “Sorry about that,” he said apologetically. “You reached out and hugged us in your sleep,” Emma finished, giggling as well.īalan looked a bit embarrassed. “Well, when we tried to wake you…” Yuri began but trailed off as she giggled again. “Morning, Balan,” Cass replied with a smile.īalan then blinked and looked to see he was hugging both Emma and Yuri, and they were giggling. “Time to wake up.”īalan groaned as he woke up, a yawn escaping him before he looked to see Cass and Haoyu standing there, and he smiled. “Balan? Hey, it’s morning,” he called, still gently shaking his friend’s shoulder. Haoyu now came forward and gently shook Balan’s shoulder. “Given how much he likes hugs, I’m not surprised,” Emma giggled. “Guess Balan’s a cuddler,” the green-haired girl mentioned. Cass and Haoyu tried hard not to laugh aloud. Yuri came closer and gently shook Balan’s shoulder, but his arm reached out and pulled her gently into the hug too, making both girls giggle. “Balan?” She said, gently shaking his shoulder again but was unsuccessful in waking him up. The other three giggled quietly while Emma chuckled as well. To her surprise, Balan’s arm moved and gently pulled her to his side while he was still sound asleep. Emma smiled, going up to him and gently shaking his shoulder. ![]() They saw their friend was indeed still asleep. The tim nodded, hopping down the hallway and to the part of the theater where the kids and adults had set up a comfy bed for the maestro. “Hey,” she said, seeing it was a tim that looked like a bunny, and she gave him a gentle ear scratch. "Maybe he’s still sleeping,” Haoyu stated, looking around.Įmma spotted one of the tims and smiled. They arrived at the theater and entered, but it was very quiet in the theater. “He just needed some friends to help him out,” Yuri said. “I think Balan is cheering up more now that he’s got some help making his home look better,” Emma said. ![]()
